If you are used to drinking your coffee beverages with milk, treat yourself once in a while - but make sure not to drink several cups a day and avoid adding sugar or syrups.
Alcohol is a no-go. Besides adding extra calories, it also influences your metabolism negatively.
Avoid juices. They contain lots of calories and fewer vitamins and fiber than fresh fruit.
Here's a little rule of thumb, that will help you calculate how much you should drink a day:
Non-workout day: 2/3 cup of water per 10 lbs of body weight. (e.g. 120 lbs = 8 cups of water a day)
Workout day: 1 cup of water per 10 lbs of body weight. (e.g. 120 lbs = 12 cups of water a day)
But don't worry. You don't have to calculate your water intake. We have already done that for you in the dashboard.
Treat your taste buds by infusing water. Fill a pitcher with water, add a few orange or lemon slices, and leave the pitcher in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. You can also use other fruit and vegetables like apples or cucumbers. Fresh herbs will also add a nice touch and will upgrade your water to a delicious beverage. Just a little heads up.
