Recipe alternative

If a recipe does not appeal to you, swipe left to choose from 3 recipe alternatives. This feature also enables you to plan, which foods in your pantry or fridge you want to use up. Before your next grocery run, choose your new recipes by taking into account the foods you have at home.

Change serving size

By default, all meals are set to 1 serving. These servings are tailored to your caloric needs. You can adjust the serving sizes by tapping the "Servings: 1" button for each meal. Use this feature for meal prepping, as well as cooking for your family and friends.

  1. If you want to meal prep, change one of your meals to 2-9 servings. After preparing your food, you can portion it respectively and enjoy ready to eat meals in the upcoming days.
  2. When accounting for people with different caloric needs than yourself, you may define partial servings (e.g. 1.7 servings).

Eat out

If you are not able to prepare your meal, get instructions on making the right choices when eating out. Swipe right until you get to the "I am going to eat out" card and tap on it.

Intermittent fasting

With feastr, intermittent fasting is not a problem. Set all standard serving sizes of your meals to 1.5 and eat only two of the three meals of the day. For a better overview of your week, set the meals you are going to skip, to "I am going to eat out".

As our algorithm can scale each recipe very precisely, we distribute your caloric intake evenly to all three meals. Eating 1.5 servings twice will add up to the correct energy balance.
